You have a website, but you are not sure whether customers understand it, search tools can read it, or the next update is worth your time. A free first check can reveal some basic issues. The useful decision is what to do about them in the context of your business, rather than how to chase a higher score.
A technical check is not a business result
Webetter checks selected public homepage information and supporting website files. The report looks at page titles, descriptions, headings, contact information and basic access settings for search and AI tools. You can enter a website address without creating an account, then expand the detailed results. The score summarises those checks. It does not measure your Google position, customer satisfaction or actual recommendations by an AI service.
First, review access issues and missing information
If the website cannot be read, ask the person responsible for it to review its address, public availability and security settings. The probe comes from Webetter’s server; an actual search service may experience different access. If a title or description is missing, explain what the business does and who it serves in a clear sentence.
- For a hypothetical air-conditioning cleaning service in Kowloon, useful details include the areas served, appointment availability and how to enquire. A string of superlatives is less helpful to someone deciding what to do next.
- For a hypothetical community organisation, an activity page could clearly state the date, venue, intended participants, fee and registration process. These examples illustrate a content decision; they are not customer success stories.
- If you maintain English and Chinese pages, check that phone numbers, addresses, prices and opening hours agree across both versions.
Next, try the website on a phone
An automated report cannot replace a full usability review. Visit your homepage as though you have never seen the business before. Find the main service, the contact details and the next action. If you need to zoom, search or guess, make a note for improvement. Test the actual enquiry, email and booking journeys too: a visible button does not prove that the process behind it is connected.
Useful content matters in search and AI discovery
Google’s starter guide emphasises clear, reliable content written for people. Its guidance on Google AI search features says that existing SEO fundamentals remain relevant and that there are no additional special technical requirements. That guidance concerns Google; other AI services may work differently. Passing a basic check does not guarantee indexing, rankings or citations.
Choose one change, then check the result
Write down the issue, the person responsible and the practical improvement you want. You might start by making the enquiry route easier to find, then test the changed page on a phone. If you have analytics or genuine enquiry records, observe them over time rather than attributing every short-term fluctuation to a single edit.
You can fix your existing website without moving it. If you want a new starting point, browse Webetter’s designs and create a free account. If you prefer help with content, design or getting online, discuss the scope and a separate quote with iGears. One clear and useful improvement is an achievable place to begin.
